Five people were shot dead over a land dispute in Fateh Jang tehsil of Attock district in Punjab, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Monday.

The deceased are Arsalan, Mohammad Razzaq, Ishtiaq Hussain, Noor Mohammad and Sadaqat.

Lawmen and rescuers reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the hospital.

DPO Omar Salamat too visited the site while the provincial police chief sought a detailed report from the officers concerned.

The personnel cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
