Katy Perry finds happiness in Australia after split from Orlando Bloom
Pop superstar Katy Perry appears to be embracing a fresh chapter of life following her reported split from longtime partner and fiancé Orlando Bloom.
The Firework hitmaker, 40, was spotted enjoying a serene escape to Rottnest Island, Western Australia, in what fans are calling her ‘healing era’.
Katy shared a series of cheerful Instagram posts, posing with quokkas – the famously photogenic marsupials native to the island.
“Mood: quokka,” she captioned the photo gallery.
Wearing cozy black tights, a puffer jacket, and a low baseball cap, she looked relaxed and content while engaging with the adorable animals and dancing barefoot on the beach beside a flock of seagulls.
The laid-back getaway comes amid swirling rumours of a breakup with Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando Bloom, 48.
Speculation heightened this week after the couple, who share four-year-old daughter Daisy Dove, were seen spending time apart, noticeably without their wedding rings.
Orlando was recently seen solo at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s star-studded wedding in Venice, mingling with celebrities like Tom Brady, the Kardashians, and Oprah Winfrey.
Meanwhile, Katy’s Australian visit is part of her Lifetimes Tour, which began in April.
However, fan-captured footage from her emotional performance in Mexico City has resurfaced, hinting at signs of personal turmoil.
During her rendition of the 2010 track Pearl, which explores themes of reclaiming identity after a controlling relationship, the singer appeared to break down onstage, crying and screaming the lyric: “I let him rule my world!” before regaining composure to declare, “But I woke up and grew strong.”
While Orlando received a reported pep talk from Oprah in Venice on the eve of the Bezos wedding, Katy has taken solace in nature and motherhood.
Daughter Daisy joined her for the Australian getaway and was even photographed sitting at the wheel of the boat en route to the island.
Although neither Katy nor Orlando has officially confirmed the breakup, the nine-year relationship that brought fans countless red carpet moments, public declarations of love, and a shared journey through parenthood appears to be facing its end.
