Two accused killed in police encounter in Lahore

Two under-custody accused died during a police encounter in Lahore, reported 24NewsHd TV channel on Saturday.

The police encounter took place in the jurisdiction of Nishtar Town Police Station, Lahore.

Crime Control Department (CCD) sources said that a CCD team was taking the accused to a location in Nishtar Town for recovery.

After taking notice of the CCD team, some colleagues of the accused opened fire on them.

Both accused received serious bullet injuries during a heavy exchange of fire.

CCD team was taking the injured accused to a hospital but they breathed their last on way to the hospital.

Later, all the colleagues of the accused escaped from the scene taking advantage of the darkness.

The CCD constituted a team to apprehend the culprits.
