Former PHC Bar General Secretary Imran Khan Matta joins PML-N
Former Peshawar High Court Bar Association General Secretary and senior lawyer Advocate Imran Khan Matta has formally joined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz PML-N, along with his family and supporters, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Matta met with Federal Minister and President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Amir Muqam at his residence in Cantt Peshawar to announce his allegiance with the PML-N.
The Federal Minister presented Advocate Imran Khan Matta with a party cap and congratulated him on joining the PML-N.
He paid tribute to the services of the legal community and said that the role of lawyers has always been key in promoting the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law.
Advocate Matta expressed full confidence in the leadership of Mian Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Engineer Amir Muqam. He said he would actively work to promote the party's vision, manifesto, and mission of public service.
The meeting was also attended by Peshawar High Court Bar Association General Secretary Ishfaq Ahmad Dadozai, Muslim Lawyers Forum President Kifayat-ullah Khan, General Secretary Akbar Yousaf Khan, and other office-bearers of the Muslim Lawyers Forum.
