Funeral prayers for martyred Pakistan Rangers personnel offered 

Funeral prayers were offered on Sunday for the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) personnel who were martyred while foiling a terrorist attack in Karachi.

The Rangers personnel embraced martyrdom while preventing a terrorist attack carried out by the India-backed militant group Jamaat-ul-Ahrar.

The funeral prayers were attended by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Director General Pakistan Rangers Sindh, the families of the martyrs, and senior civil and military officials.

Attendees paid tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs and expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to their families.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said, “The terrorist incident is deeply tragic, and those responsible will be held accountable. Those involved in terrorism, wherever they may be, will be pursued by the security forces and brought to justice.”

Governor Nihal Hashmi also strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed the government's commitment to eliminating terrorism from the country.

"We will never tolerate India-sponsored terrorism and will continue our efforts to eradicate terrorism from its roots," he said.

“We salute the brave Rangers soldiers who sacrificed their lives, while destroying the evil intentions of terrorists,” said Sindh CM Murad Ali Shah.

“We stand with the security forces for the complete eradication of terrorism from the country”, said Sindh CM.

After the funeral prayers, the bodies of the martyrs were sent to their hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honours.

After the funeral prayer, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, accompanied by Governor Nihal Hashmi, visited the site of the terrorist attack.
