Pakistani celebrities have been using their platforms to spread awareness, whether it's by sharing videos of themselves washing their hands or advising fans to stay home and practice social distancing. Other celebrities are donating money to various organizations.

Superstar Ali Zafar has donated a total of Rs 2 million to help daily wagers affected due to lockdown.

The actor posted a video and wrote: "We have started the distribution of “Ration" from Lahore and delivered to 50 families so far. I have personally donated Rs. 2 million to help the daily wagers in the coming days."

He further added: "(I am sharing this figure as some ask about personal contribution). I urge everyone to click on the link in my bio for details to donate. Let’s all come together to fight this pandemic and ensure that nobody is hungry during this difficult time. Join the movement."

He concluded saying: "In these testing times, it is most important that we use all our resources to help those who have none. Nobody should go hungry in the lockdown. Help us feed them. Join the movement. Donate generously."
