China s corona-fighting doctors land in Pakistan

An eight-member medical team sent by the Chinese government has landed in Islamabad on Saturday to provide expertise in prevention and control of the coronavirus pandemic.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, foreign secretary, NDMA chairman and the Chinese ambassador in Pakistan received the doctors at Islamabad International Airport. The team came along with a planeload of medical supplies including testings kits, masks, hamzut suits and ventilators.

The Chinese medical team will stay in Pakistan for two weeks and will train the Pakistani doctors.
Earlier in a tweet which contained a video, the Chinese embassy in Pakistan said the team was seen off in Xinjiang before leaving for Pakistan.

China is ramping up assistance to Pakistan amid the ongoing crisis. In this, two planes have already landed in Karachi, which carried testing kits and other necessary equipment.
Similarly, a convoy reached Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday via Khunjerab Pass with the urgent supplies.
