Balochistan governor complains to PM about senior bureaucrats’ attitude

Balochistan Governor Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has complained to Prime Minister Imran Khan that senior bureaucrats heading federal institutions in the province don’t come to meetings he convenes. 

The governor sent this complaint to the prime minister via a quarterly report on the performance of federal institutions working in Balochistan. Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed his anger at this attitude of the senior bureaucrats working in Balochistan. 

According to the report, dashboards of senior bureaucrats of 17 federal institutions working in Balochistan were reviewed. The Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit has sent a letter to the heads of federal institutions working in Balochistan and directed all senior bureaucrats to ensure their presence at the meetings convened by the provincial government of Balochistan. The officers have been warned that action would be taken against those not attending the meetings convened by the Balochistan government. 

Amanullah Khan Yasinzai is the current and 24th governor of Balochistan. He is a former chief justice of the Balochistan High Court.
