The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday extended by two weeks the order to stop by-elections on three seats of the National Assembly in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq heard the case. The respondents in the case demanded time to submit replies.

The court adjourned further hearing of the case for two weeks.

It is to be noted here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders – Raja Khurram Nawaz, Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan filed the petition against the acceptance of resignations.

Earlier, the court suspended the notification of by-elections in the three constituencies until further notice.
