Kerosene oil price increased again by Rs4.66 per litre
The federal government on Friday once again raised the price of kerosene oil, issuing a fresh notification announcing an increase of Rs4.66 per litre.
According to the notification, the new price of kerosene oil has been set at Rs433.40 per litre, up from the previous rate of Rs428.74 per litre. The revised price has come into effect from today.
This marks another increase in kerosene oil rates, following a significant hike of Rs70.73 per litre announced just last week, adding further burden on consumers.
The latest adjustment comes despite earlier assurances by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to maintain the prices of petrol and diesel.
Kerosene oil is widely used by low-income households, particularly in rural areas, for cooking and heating, and repeated price hikes are likely to impact household budgets.
