Field Marshal Asim Munir for enhancing defence ties with Azerbaijan

Field Marshal Asim Munir met with the Defence Minister of Azerbaijan General Hasanov in Lachin on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), both exchanged views on regional stability and defence cooperation. 

Speaking on the occasion, the field marshal expressed the resolve to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the defence sector. 

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev agreed with the host to further strengthen ties between the two countries.

PM Shehbaz thanked him for his country’s unwavering support to Pakistan during the recent military confrontation with India.

The president told him that people in Azerbaijan celebrated the victory of Pakistan’s armed forces in the war against India.

PM Shehbaz felicitated Azerbaijan’s president as well as the people of the country on their country’s independence day, and said that relations between the two countries were remarkable.
