HEC forms body for ranking of universities in KP

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) constituted a committee for rankings of universities in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Wednesday.
According to a statement by HEC, the committee will finalise ranking criteria for government and private universities in the province as per national and international standards.
The committee will collect all relevant data from these universities and will submit the same to the provincial government.
Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi said that measures are being taken to expedite work on reforms in higher education.
Meena Khan Afridi expressed the hope that rankings of universities will bring the latest changes in higher education.
He said that Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, who is chancellor of government universities, assigned him the task of bringing reforms to the higher education sector of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
