Two thieves of stolen 9,600 books arrested from Rawalpinid

Rawalpindi Police have recovered more than 9,600 stolen textbooks that were meant for primary school students across Punjab. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the textbooks, valued in lakhs of rupees, were printed by the Government of Punjab for free distribution to schoolchildren.

According to details, 9,665 books were stolen from the Department of Education office in Rawalpindi. Police have arrested two suspects, while efforts are underway to apprehend other accomplices and facilitators involved in the theft.

The operation was initiated following a notice by City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, who ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits and recovery of the stolen material. 

Responding swiftly, City Police Station officers, using both technical surveillance and human intelligence, arrested the suspects and recovered all the missing books.

The textbooks were originally intended for primary students in various schools, and their theft could have disrupted academic distribution if not intercepted in time.

Police have confirmed that solid evidence has been collected and the arrested individuals will be prosecuted with full force of the law. 

Authorities are continuing their investigation to trace all individuals linked to the crime and ensure strict legal action is taken against them.
