Quetta cops suspended over allegations of torture on citizen

Three policemen Monday were suspended over allegations of torture on a private school guard in Quetta, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

It was stated that the violence victim Qadeer was stopped by the patrolling police on his way back from duty. The police conducted a physical search on him and started beating him when nothing was found.

The injured school guard complained to the Saddar division Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Asif Yousafzai.

Saddar SP suspended the three constables Ghulam Ali, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Imran and also ordered departmental action to be taken against them.
