Mashal Yousafzai clashes with Allama Nasir Abbas in PTI Senators meeting

A PTI Senate parliamentary party meeting turned tense after senior party figure Mashal Yousafzai reportedly confronted the nominated opposition leader in the Senate, Allama Nasir Abbas, sources said Friday.

According to attendees, Yousafzai questioned Abbas’s leadership authority, remarking that if powers had been delegated to him by the PTI founder, then actions should reflect it.

She further argued that PTI is a major political force, yet leadership trust had been placed in Abbas.

Sources said Yousafzai also criticised the absence of Mahmood Khan Achakzai from Islamabad, questioning why he had travelled to Quetta.

In response, Abbas clarified that Achakzai had gone to attend his father’s death anniversary.

Abbas urged Yousafzai to direct any internal grievances to the PTI leadership, noting that both he and Achakzai are heads of separate allied parties, and that issues regarding PTI should be addressed with PTI’s own chain of command.

He also advised Yousafzai to maintain decorum, asking her to “control her harsh behaviour and be gentle in her speech,” according to sources.

Multiple PTI senators reportedly walked out of the meeting due to the intensity of the exchange.
