The Principal of the University of Agriculture’s Burewala campus, Professor Dr Sajid Mahmood Nadeem, has resigned from his position after a sexual harassment scandal surfaced, officials confirmed Friday.
The university administration stated that Dr Nadeem’s resignation has been formally accepted, and Dr Zainul Abidin has been appointed as the new principal of the Burewala campus.
According to the notification issued by the Vice Chancellor, the leadership change was made to improve administrative functioning and restore confidence on the campus.
University officials said the decision aims to ensure a professional and secure academic environment while the matter continues to draw attention and calls for accountability.
