Nauman Niaz taken off air till inquiry completion

The inquiry committee to investigate the on-air spat between anchorperson Dr Nauman Niaz and ex-Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has recommended taking Dr Niaz off-air.
Noman Niaz has used insulting behavior towards Shoaib Akhtar in sports show on state run Television.
The recommendation was presented during a meeting of the inquiry committee in which the managing director and higher-ups of Pakistan Television (PTV) were present.
Moreover, Prime Minister Imran Khan angered by Dr Nauman's insult to Shoaib Akhtar.
Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered a report on the matter from the Information Ministry.
The humiliation inflicted on the national hero is unbearable, said the Prime Minister, the sources said.
According to the sources, PM Khan instructed the Information Ministry to crack down on those responsible in the spat.
The unpleasant episode that occurred between legendary bowler Shoaib Akhtar and Dr Niaz was thoroughly discussed in the meeting.
Both were discussing Pakistan's victory over New Zealand when tensions between Shoaib Akhtar, and Dr Niaz, the host of the show, one of the many decorated panelists’ on the show, escalated.
Noman Niaz will not host the transmission until the investigation is completed.
Many celebrities spoke in favour of former Pakistani cricketer and commentator Shoaib Akhtar following the dispute with Dr Nauman Niaz on Tuesday.
