An abducted 70 years old Iqbal was tortured to death by kidnappers for not paying a ransom of Rs20 million from his family, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Friday.
According to the details, the victim Iqbal who belonged to Sialkot was abducted two months ago and kidnappers demanded Rs20 million from his family.
The kidnappers who belonged to the Kashmore area of Sindh also sent some videos related to the torture of the old man in which the kidnapped person also appealed to his son Yasir to pay the money to save his life.
The family of the kidnapped old man Iqbal approached the local police for help and an FIR against the culprits was registered on the application of his son but to no avail, as police refused to take any action in the area of ‘Kacha’ (a no go area for security agencies).
Anyhow, the victim’s family did not pay the amount so the kidnappers reduced it to Rs1.6 million in the last negotiations.
When the Sialkot family once again failed to arrange the said amount, the kidnappers killed the abducted old man and demanded one million rupees for giving his dead body.
Once again the family told the killers that they have not arranged the demanded money and then the killers threw the dead body outside the Kashmore Hospital.
