PML-N’s Javed Latif says Nawaz Sharif is ready to face any opponent in elections
Emphasizing that these were people’s votes which kept political parties alive, former MNA and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mian Javed Latif said on Saturday that the country’s constitution also guaranteed to citizens the right to vote, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a press conference, he questioned how on earth those who had built Pakistan and those who had played with it could be equals. “We are not seeking revenge. All we want is that there should be respect for the country,” he asserted.
Disagreeing with the notion that none could defeat PTI’s ticketholders in general elections, Latif challenged PML-N’s opponents to field their candidates against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the polls if they were so sure of their victory.
He was of the view that the country’s economy suffered after Nawaz was removed from office.
