Govt releases more record of Toshakhana gifts

The federal government on Tuesday released the record of the gifts received by the president, the prime minister and others during a three-month period, starting from July 2025 and ending on September 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per details, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi and Federal Minister of Energy Awais Leghari received gifts during their foreign visits.

Similarly, the Senate chairman, the National Assembly speaker, secretary Senate, Federal Minister for Information Ataullah Tarar, Minister for IT Shiza Fatima, Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi, Minister of State Barrister Aqeel Malik, secretary interior and others also received gifts such as precious watches, decoration pieces, paintings, perfumes, shields, carpets, tea sets, rifles, wall clocks, pens and diaries.

All these gifts were deposited in the Toshakhana.

Earlier, PM Shehbaz Sharif-led government had made public the Toshakhana record from 2002 to June 2025.

Likewise, the Toshakhana record from 1997 to 2001 had also been released.
