Another shock for Karachi residents

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) Wednesday approved Rs4.45 per unit increase in power tariff for Karachi consumers, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported.

According to the details, the increase was approved with respect to the first quarterly adjustment of the previous financial year.

It was stated that the decision has been sent to the government for issuance of notification. The collections will be made from K-Electric consumers in October and November 2023.

Nepra reps said that the increase in unit price for K-Electric users will range from Rs1.49 to Rs4.45.
