Asia Cup final: India skip trophy shoot, Pakistan captain poses alone

The customary captain's trophy shoot did not take place ahead of the high-profile Asia Cup final between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday. 

The event was marred by the absence of Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, who did not appear for the scheduled photo opportunity with the trophy and his Pakistani counterpart, Salman Ali Agha.

With the Indian captain not present, Pakistan's Salman Ali Agha posed for photographs with the trophy alone.

The incident sparked immediate controversy, with the Indian team management explaining to the media.

They stated that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had not formally communicated or requested their participation in a joint trophy shoot.

The Asia Cup T20 final is scheduled to be played today between Pakistan and India amidst this unexpected pre-match controversy.
