Islamabad police set October deadline for motorcyclists to obey rules

Under the special direction of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Capt ® Hamza Hamayun launched a campaign for the safety and security of motorcyclists in Islamabad, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

Chief Traffic Officer Humayun Hamza advised motorcyclists to purchase helmets by October 1, 2025, and display number plates, avoid one-wheeling, lane violations, and driving motorcycles sans licenses to avoid stern action.

Chief Traffic Officer further said that stern action will be taken against all those motorcyclists who are found in violation of traffic rules.

He said that all motorcyclists must obtain their licenses and learner's permits by October 7, 2025.

He further added that this step is part of ITP’s broader vision for a modern, well-integrated traffic management system that ensures public safety in Islamabad.

The CTO urged citizens to extend full cooperation in making the initiative successful.
