Pakistan’s special envoy departs for Tehran to discuss Afghanistan

Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Muhammad Sadiq Khan, has departed for Tehran, Iran, for a series of high-level meetings with Iranian officials, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to diplomatic sources, the discussions will focus on matters related to Afghanistan and aim to strengthen regional cooperation on peace and stability.

The visit gains added significance following a recent four-nation meeting held in the United States, which was attended by officials from Pakistan, China, Russia, and Iran. 

Muhammad Sadiq Khan’s Tehran trip is expected to build upon the outcomes of that conference and further advance diplomatic engagement on Afghan affairs.

During his stay in Tehran, Ambassador Sadiq will hold key talks with Iranian counterparts, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to regional dialogue and collaborative solutions for Afghanistan.
