Pakistani boxer wins YWB title after defeating Indian rival in Thailand
Pakistan’s boxer Sameer Khan defeated India’s Bunty Singh to win the Youth World Bantamweight boxing title at the World Siam Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
During the fight, Sameer Khan dominated throughout the bout. His attacks left the Indian opponent struggling to avoid his powerful punches.
After a unanimous decision by the panel of referees, Khan was declared the winner and awarded the Youth World Bantamweight (YWB) belt.
Following his victory, the Pakistani boxer fell to the ground in a gesture of thanks. “I dedicate this win to the people of Pakistan,” he said after donning the championship belt.
Sameer Khan shared his winning moments on Instagram, saying: “Alhamdulillah, I am the first Pakistani to win this title — UBO Youth World Bantamweight Champion.”
Even before the bout began, Sameer Khan set the tone with ‘jet celebration’, a gesture that visibly riled his Indian rival Bunty Singh.
