PCB awards contracts to cricket scorers for the first time

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has, for the first time, introduced official contracts for cricket scorers, 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to the PCB, 20 scorers from 16 regional cricket associations across the country have been awarded contracts.

These contracts will remain valid from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. 

Previously, scorers were only compensated through match fees.

Abdullah Khurram Niazi, Director of Domestic Cricket, said that this initiative will encourage scorers, who form an essential pillar of Pakistan’s cricket system, by recognizing and supporting their vital contribution to the sport.
