Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) Thursday demanded resignations of the Law Minister Dr Farogh Naseem and Adviser to Prime Minister Shahzad Akbar in view of hard allegations and revelation of former Director General (DG) Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Bashir Mamon, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The PBC further demanded to constitute a judicial commission to probe the revelations of former DG FIA Bashir Mamon as all of his disclosures were serious and strong so both the government authorities should tender their resignations themselves.
The apex body of lawyers—PBC—also claimed that after the detailed verdict of Supreme Court in Justice Qazi Faez Isa case both the personalities should resign immediately as it was declared in the judgment that the reference from the President of Pakistan against Justice Qazi Faez Isa was tainted with mala fide in law.
PBC leaders have already demanded in their previous statements on the verdict of Supreme Court that it was strong observations against President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi, Dr Farogh Naseem, Shahzad Akbar and former Attorney General for Pakistan (AGP) as they were directly responsible for filing the said reference.
