Shoaib Akhtar praises Mohammad Amir for outplaying Babar Azam mentally
Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has lauded experienced fast bowler Mohammad Amir for his impressive bowling performance against Babar Azam, highlighting Amir’s deep understanding of Babar's weaknesses, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Speaking about Amir’s yesterday spell for Quetta Gladiators, Akhtar said it was refreshing to see Amir back in rhythm after a long time.
He noted that Babar Azam appeared to struggle in reading Amir’s deliveries properly, often missing the ball, which either struck him on the helmet or the body.
Shoaib remarked that Amir had a clear psychological edge over Babar during the game.

"While the crowd around the ground was chanting ‘Babar, Babar’, Amir quietly went about his business, maintaining his focus and executing his plans," Akhtar observed.
The former fast bowler further pointed out that Babar should have taken more time to settle at the crease, particularly considering the challenging nature of the pitch.
"It was not an easy surface to bat on, and Babar needed to assess the conditions carefully before looking to dominate," he added.
It is worth mentioning here that Babar Azam became the victim of Mohammad Aamir's bowling, while playing against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday, for the second time in the ongoing PSL X.
