Tarar slams Indian move to ban Pakistani media

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Monday slammed the Indian move to ban Pakistani TV channels and YouTube channels, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Tarar praised the Pakistani media for its effective defence of the national narrative. He stated that India imposed a ban on Pakistani channels to cover up its own embarrassment and failure.

“The Indian narrative has failed on the global stage,” said Attaullah Tarar. He commended the Pakistani media for showing professionalism, responsibility and patriotism in the current situation.

He also praised how the Pakistani media showed Pakistan’s narrative to the world and responded to the Indian propaganda with clear and strong arguments. He assured that the government will continue to fully support media organizations and journalists who uphold national dignity. He said the government encourages every voice that contributes to the promotion of Pakistan’s dignity, integrity, and national narrative.

Tarar said that Indian actions clearly broke international journalism rules. He said, "These actions cannot hide the truth or Pakistan’s side from the world." He assured that the government will raise its voice against India’s restrictions on international platforms. He praised the Pakistani media for focusing on the country's needs and reporting fairly and responsibly during tough times.

"Pakistani media did its job well, considering the seriousness of the situation," said Tarar. He concluded that the efforts of Pakistani journalists and anchors will be respected and appreciated for a long time.
