IHC rejects plea to shift Tiktoker Sana Yousaf murder trial
In a significant legal development, the Islamabad High Court has dismissed a request to transfer the murder trial of TikToker Sana Yousaf, ordering that proceedings continue in the same court, during the hearing on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The decision was announced by Chief Justice Sarfraz Dogar, who rejected the application filed by the accused, Umar Hayat.
The plea sought to move the case to another court, citing a lack of confidence in the current trial judge.
According to court proceedings, the accused argued that he did not trust the presiding judge and requested that the case be reassigned.
However, the high court did not accept this position and instead directed trial judge Afzal Majoka to continue hearing the case without interruption.
