Indian actress Tripti beaten by father for refusing to marry man of his choice
The 19-year-old TV actress, Tripti Shankdhar, who has appeared in both movies and serials, took to social media and claimed that her father pressurized her to marry a 28-year-old man and beat her up on her refusal.
She also lodged a complaint to Bareilly police who took her father Ram Ratan Shankdhar into custody but let him off on a personal bond later as she said that she doesn’t want any legal action against him.
However, Tripti refused to live with him anymore and walked out of the house with her mother.

She has also sought protection from the Bareilly police.
In the video clip that has since been deleted, Shankhdhar is heard accusing her father of pulling her by her hair and thrashing her. She alleged that her father is asking her to return the money he gave her when she went to Mumbai to make a career in the entertainment industry.
Shankhdhar had posted her video clip on her Instagram account.
Shankhdhar, 19, has now left her home with her mother. Her father is a real estate businessman.
Shankhdhar has worked in TV serials like ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and also in a South Indian film.
The Bareilly police said that they have not received any written complaints but learned about the actress’s post on social media a few hours ago. “We are investigating the matter,” said a senior police official.
