Kashmore police arrest man for looting flood victims

Police in Tangwani, Kashmore district, Sindh, in an encounter with some armed men looting flood-affected people in the area, managed to arrest one of them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday. 

According to reports, SHO Karampur Rafiq Ahmad Soomro and his team were on routine patrolling when they spotted some men robbing flood victims of the relief goods distributed among them by the authorities. 

On seeing police, the robbers resorted to firing, which led to an encounter during which police managed to arrest Abdul Hakim s/o Muhammad Yaqoob Jafferi in an injured condition along with a TT pistol and bullets. 

Accomplices of Abdul Hakim, however, fled from the spot while firing into the air.  

SSP Kashmore Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui said that a case had been registered against the outlaws.
