A one-on-one consultation meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa was held on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PM Shehbaz and COAS Gen Bajwa focused on the flood-affected areas and continuing relief operations across the country.
The sources said that the PM and the COAS also discussed some internal security issues facing Pakistan in the one-on-one meeting.
The sources said, PM Shehbaz expressed confidence in the professional affairs of the Pakistani defence forces and appreciated the role of the Pakistan Army in the relief operations.
In the meeting, PM Shehbaz said that the soldiers of the Pakistan Army are working bravely for rescuing flood-hit affectees and continuing relief operations in the country.
