The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has announced that the All Pakistan Lawyers Convention will be held next month.

According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the meeting of the SCBA executive committee announced that the All Pakistan Lawyers Convention will be held on September 7 in Islamabad.

The convention will take up the issues related to elections, it said, adding that lawyers from all over the country will participate in the meeting.

The delay in general elections will be a violation of fundamental rights and the people of Pakistan cannot be deprived of exercising their right to vote, the association said.

The elections in 90 days are indispensable for the survival of democracy and the rule of law, it added.
