Iran president expresses solidarity with flood-hit Pakistan
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed solidarity with the flood-hit Pakistan. According to details, Pezeshkian held a telephonic conversation with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. On this occasion, the Iranian president has offered full support to Pakistan in these testing times.
PM Shehbaz has expressed his gratitude to Pezeshkian for extending solidarity with Pakistan. The premier has extended his best wishes to Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in a telephonic conversation with Pezeshkian.
Shehbaz and Pezeshkian also talked about their potential meeting on the sidelines of the forthcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). Earlier on Thursday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan assured PM Shehbaz of Turkiye’s full cooperation in relief efforts following recent floods in parts of Pakistan. During a telephonic conversation with PM Shehbaz, President Erdogan expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the severe flooding. He conveyed heartfelt condolences and extended Turkiye’s support in managing the aftermath of the disaster.
