Due to heavy snowfall in Abbottabad and Galyat, dozens of vehicles of tourists and locals are stranded on the Murree Road in Kandla.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, hundreds of tourists are trapped in vehicles in Abbottabad as Murree Road has been blocked after a snowfall on Thursday. 

The channel report said that the temperature has been dropped in Abbottabad so tourists including women and children began to shiver from the cold.

Up to one foot of snow has fallen in Abbottabad and Galyat.

Unfortunately, the Abbottabad administration has failed to remove snow from Murree Road and relief operations could not be started to evacuate the stranded tourists in the area till filling this report.

A snowfall in Azad Jammu and Kashmir's capital Muzaffarabad and other areas including Pirchanasi, Saran, Lipa, Chikara, and Sidhan Street continued on Thursday.

Due to heavy snowfall, Lipa Road in Reshiyaan was closed to traffic and the local administration has advised the citizens to avoid traveling at night.

Snowfall in Swat and Kalam continued and roads have been blocked. Rescue teams have started relief operations in the area.
