Dar meets Chinese ambassador, reaffirms Pakistan's One China policy

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Saturday met Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong.

During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed New Year greetings to Dar on behalf of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Dar appreciated China’s support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and development. He reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for all of China’s core interests and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the One China policy. Dar also reiterated Pakistan's full support to Beijing, calling Taiwan an integral part of China.

The meeting described the Pak-China all-weather strategic partnership as a guarantee of regional peace. Both sides termed bilateral relations an important pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
