After receiving complaints, Punjab Chief Minister’s Inspection Team has removed the Medical Superintendent of Holy Family Hospital Rawalpindi, Dr Ejaz Butt, from his post with immediate effect, reported by 24NewsHD TV on Monday

According to details, the Chief Minister’s Inspector Team conducted an emergency visit to the Holy Family Hospital.

During the visit, patients submitted large number of complaints against doctors to the CM Inspection Team and also informed them about the unavailability of medicines.

Patients and their families also complained about the closure of gates 1 and 2 of Holy Family Hospital. They also informed that patients are facing difficulties reaching the emergency ward due to the closure of these gates.

It is necessary to mention here that in August 2025, the negligence of doctors in the death of 11-year-old Kainat in Holy Family Hospital (HFH) was proven following multiple inquiries.

Incompetence, incorrect diagnosis, and lack of proper medical care by staff have been confirmed. The Secretary of Health, Punjab, has suspended both the doctors of Paediatric Surgery and summoned them to Lahore. Action will be taken under the Paediatrics Act.

Kainat from the Dhok Chaudhryan area of Rawalpindi, who was undergoing treatment at Holy Family's Paediatric Surgery, had severe abdominal pain.

She was screaming from the pain. Her appendix was operated on after much delay and without proper diagnosis. It was later learned that she was not actually suffering from appendicitis. Kainat died screaming in pain.
