In a shocking incident; one that may further dent people’s trust in the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs), a policeman raped a woman in Bahawalnagar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to reports, constable Naseer called Shabnam, a resident of Tariq Colony, to a police station so that she could be recruited into the department as a lady constable.

But when she reached there, the policeman and his accomplice took the woman to an unknown location where the former raped her. They later also took pictures as well as filmed videos of the victim.

The constable threatened the woman with sharing her objectionable videos on social media in case she dared to speak about her ordeal.  

And when the condition of the woman deteriorated, the suspects threw her at Sutlej Park and fled.

On the other hand, on the order of DPO Naseebullah Khan, a case has been registered against the cop on the complaint of the victim.  

The woman has been shifted to a hospital for her medical examination.
