Khushdil Shah bats Sultans to thrilling victory over Qalandars
Karachi Kings to clash with Quetta Gladiators in today s second match

Khushdil Shah Saturday held his nerves to take Multan Sultans over the line in a last-over thriller against Lahore Qalandars in the third match of the Pakistan Super League’s seventh season at National Stadium Karachi.
Needing 16 runs from the last over, Khushdil struck Haris Rauf for three consecutive four before hitting a six to take his team home in chase of a mammoth 207 runs target in 19.4 overs.
Chasing 207 for victory, skipper Muhammad Rizwan (69) and Shan Masood (83) took apart the Shaheen Shah Afridi-led Qalandars bowling as they steered their team with two balls to spare in Karachi.
Rizwan played a captain's knock as he scored 69 off 42 balls, while Khushdil Shah gave his side the opening wicket and also took a total of two crucial scalps — Abdullah Shafiq, and Mohammad Hafeez — after they won the toss and put Lahore to bat.
The Qalandar’s bowlers could not perform up to the mark in the early over; however, they picked up pace in the last five over taking back-to-back wickets. Qalandars batters had handed the highest-ever 207-run target to the Sultans.
Skipper Afridi took three wickets and star bowler Haris Rauf and Rashid Khan also took one wicket each for the Qalandars.

Qalandars started off their innings handsomely when Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique have opened for the side. The first wicket of fell on 89, when Imran Tahir of Multan Sultans got rid of Abdullah Shafique who made 24 runs off 22 balls.
Then came the right handed batsman Kamran Ghulam, who along with Fakhar Zaman had provide the LQ with the strong platform to further negotiate. It was in the 12th over when Fakhar got out on well-made 76 runs off 35 deliveries.

After Fakhar made his way back to the pavilion, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez joined Ghulam on crease. But he was removed by Khushdil Shah on 16 runs.
Kamran Ghulam showed quite a resistance as he smoked 43 runs off 31 balls. Ghulam was knocked by David Willey.
Moreover, the wicketkeeper batsman Ben Dunk could not find form and was perished on 9 runs off 11 delivers. Though, David Wiese and Rashid Khan posted some valuable runs for the Qalandars (later part of the innings).
Qalandars finished off their innings by scoring 206 runs with the loss of 5 wickets.
Talking about the bowling of Multan Sultans, so David Willey, Imran Tahir, Shahnawaz Dahani, Ihsanullah and Khushdil Shah took a wicket each
Earlier, Multan Sultans won the toss and opted to field first against Lahore Qalandars in the third match of the seventh edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at National Stadium in Karachi.
Sultans of Multan is being led by Mohammad Rizwan, while for the first time Lahore Qalandars is taking the field under the leadership of Shaheen Shah Afridi.
The two teams have played against each other five times before this game. Multan Sultans dominate the stats by 3-2.
