FIA director general, KP police chief removed from their posts

In an important development, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday ordered the removal of FIA Director General (DG) Ishaq Jahangir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) IGP Akhtar Hayat from their posts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
While Jahangir was made an OSD in the Establishment Division, Hayat was directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Zulfiqar Hameed replaced Hayat as the provincial IGP instead. Hameed was earlier serving in the Punjab government.
All three grade-21 officers belong to the Police Service of Pakistan.
