NAB Lahore files reference against five accused in Metro Train scandal

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore has filed a reference against five accused in Orange Line Metro Train package phase-2 purchase scandal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.  . 

The accused include Mazhar Hussain Asif, Abdul Razzaq, Iqrar Hussain, Muhammad Aamir Latif and Syed Musawar Hussain Shah.

According to NAB reference such persons are accused of embezzlement in the purchase of machinery. 

The accused took kickbacks from the machinery purchase and demanded high prices. The accused embezzled more than Rs1 billion. 

The reference has been scheduled for hearing in the court of Accountability Court Admin Judge Qaiser Nazir Butt.

The court ordered that copies of the reference will be distributed to the accused on February 3.
