Federal Minister for Power Omar Ayub Khan on Wednesday blamed the previous governments for high production cost of electricity.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Electric Charging Station, Omar said that Pakistan was making rapid progress in the energy sector and the PTI government was taking steps to provide electricity to consumers at better rates.

Omar said that country was facing the issue of energy mix due to wrong policies of the previous government. He said that electric charging station was a welcoming initiative and an important step towards Clean and Green Pakistan. He said 24 electric stations would be set up in future that would help common people of the country. He said the government was taking solid steps to control environmental pollution.
