The United States on Thursday donated three million doses of the life-saving Moderna vaccine to Pakistan to aid the state’s fight against Covid-19for distribution to the Pakistani people, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

These vaccines were delivered in partnership with the COVAX facility and Unicef. At a ceremony with Dr Faisal Sultan, US Embassy Chargé D’affaires Angela Aggeler said: “We are here today because we share a common goal – supporting access to COVID-19 vaccines for the populations that need them the most.”
She said,” The United States is proud to partner with the government of Pakistan, COVAX, and Unicef Pakistan to deliver these vaccines directly to the Pakistani people. Together we will fight to end the pandemic.”
