Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi has expressed anger at the FIA authorities for not producing MPA Nazir Ahmad Chohan in the session despite the release of production orders, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.

He expressed his displeasure on bureaucracy and advised them not to become a Tarzan as the issues and directives of Punjab Assembly really matters.

Pervaiz Elahi warned, “If PA orders would not be implemented then no lawmaking would be passed through the provincial assembly.”

Speaker Punjab Assembly inquired the Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat, “Did they (bureaucrats) want to fight parliament?”

“This is a parliament and surely not a joke,” Elahi said. He said that it was written in the law that all cabinet members were accountable in front of the parliament.

FIA waited for Mirza Shehzad Akbar’s orders

Insiders tell the reason behind that FIA authorities did not bring the detained MPA despite the production orders were issued by the Punjab Assembly.

Sources say, “The FIA officials were not able to contact the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Accountability and Interior Mirza Shehzad Akbar in time.”

Sources in the FIA reveal that FIA attached the implementation on Production Orders of Nazir Chohan with the direction of Mirza Shehzad Akbar.
