On the issue of the missing serial numbers on the ballot papers and the disappearance of four ballot papers during the election of the Punjab Assembly’s Speakership, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) has announced to challenge the results in Lahore High Court.

The PML-N leader Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, candidate Saiful Malook Khokhar and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Syed Haider Gilani talked to the media after the PA Speaker’s elections.

They alleged that they will go to court without any delay, and the judges should open the doors to admitting a petition against the wrongdoings in the PA Speaker’s election.

Rana Mashhood said the secrecy of the vote was not maintained as the serial number was missing from the ballot paper and when they protested on it, then the serial numbers were mentioned on ballot papers.

The PML-N leader said they have proof of the foul play in the PA Speakers election. He added the staff of the assembly was standing over the ballot paper to breach the secrecy of the vote and such a thing could also be seen in the footage. He said they are going to LHC with their lawyers, and the court should be opened right now.

The PML-N leader Atta Tarar also told the media that they have started consultations for filing the petitions and soon will file it in court.
