The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet today for sighting the moon of first month of Islamic calendar Muharramul Haram, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday. 

Director General Religious Affairs, Punjab Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari will chair the zonal meeting in Lahore while the weather department officials will also be in attendance. 

The committee members, on the occasion, will receive calls from the people who have sighted the moon, and then will communicate these eyewitnesses’ accounts to the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will then decide the moon sighting for the entire country.
