ECP announces by-elections schedule for NA 129, NA-66, PP-87, Senate seat

Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule of by-elections in NA 66 and PP87 Punjab on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

According to ECP notification, by-election in National Assembly constituency 129 will be held on September 18. The seat had got vacant after the death of PTI MNA Mian Azhar. 

The by-election in NA 87 Wazirabad and PP-87 Mianwali will also be held on September 18. 

According to the schedule, Returning Officer will publish a public notice on July 31. Nomination papers will be submitted from August 4 to August 6. Candidates will be able to withdraw their nomination papers by August 25. Symbol will be allotted to candidates on August 26. NA-129 seat fell vacant after the death of MNA Mian Azhar while NA-66 and PP-87 seats were declared vacant due to the disqualification of PTI members. 

Meanwhile, Senate election on Punjab Assembly seat will be held on August 28 which had got vacant after the disqualification of Senator Ijaz Chaudhry. 

Election Commission releases schedule for by-election on general Senate seat. Returning Officer to publish public notice on July 31. The nominations will be submitted from August 1 to August 2. Candidates will be able to withdraw their nominations until August 13 and elections will be held on August 21 at the Punjab Assembly Hall.
