Govt proposes Rs9 cut in petrol price

The federal government has decided to slash oil prices in the country and in this regard Finance Ministry has sent the proposal of Rs9 cut in petrol price to Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), reported 24NewsHDTV Channel. 

There is a proposal to increase the price of one liter of light diesel by Rs 2.33. If the proposal to reduce petrol price by Rs 9 per liter is approved, then price will be reduced from Rs 272.15 to Rs 263.08. 

Likewise, there is proposal to reduce the price of one liter of high-speed diesel by Rs 3.73. After the approval, one liter of high-speed diesel will be reduced from Rs 284.35 to Rs 280.62. There is proposal to reduce the price of kerosene to Rs 3.55 per liter. 

After approval by OGRA, the prices will be implemented for the next 15 days from August 1, 2025.
