Couple shot dead over matrimonial dispute in Nowshera

A husband and wife were killed in a firing by armed men within the limits of the Misri Banda police station in Nowshera, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

The deceased were identified as Matiullah and his second wife Nazima.

According to the police, the first wife of the deceased Matiullah was angry and was living in her father’s home.

Some relatives of the first wife were angry with the second marriage of the deceased.

According to the initial investigation, the accused reached the deceased’s house and opened fire indiscriminately.

As a result of the firing, Matiullah and his second wife died on the spot.

Both bodies were shifted to Qazi Medical Complex, Nowshera, for postmortem.

The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident, and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused involved in the incident.

According to the police, investigations are underway to determine the real reasons and all aspects of the incident.
